Bob Downes is Director, BT Scotland. He joined BT three years ago to lead on SME marketing and e-business in Scotland and during that time he has pioneered BT's investment in the Glasgow International Financial Services centre.

Prior to joining BT Bob was with Scottish Enterprise with responsibility for industry sector and technology programmes. He was also a director with Conran-Roche an international consultancy firm in London where he led assignments in Germany, Ireland and the UK.

Bob's links to the telecom trade, his understanding of technology and contact with enterprising companies means he brings a wealth of experience to the DA team Underlining this, Bob is currently a non-executive board member for several technology based businesses and has recently joined the Big Issue International as a board member.
